Prince Edward County gets Ontario’s first highway roundabout

The roundabout at the intersection of highway 33 and county road 1 was a big deal for our community. Very few people voiced their support of the concept, and many people were opposed. Now, I daresay County residents are getting a kick out of it. It was my pleasure to report on the occasion for both Quinte Broadcasting and my newest journalistic outlet, CountyNews.ca (in development – see my first County News video report, below).

    Good news article. Roundabouts are fantastic. In Britain they keep things moving and if you miss your turnoff you just go around again. Good to see one in a major highway. There are a few tiny ones in back streets in Toronto.
